How to keep your car fresh
Updated: May 27
We spend lots of time in our cars. We are driving to and from work, running errands, etc. As a result, our cars can quickly turn into a storage unit. Keeping your car fresh is just as important as a clean house! We’re all busy, so here are some simple solutions to keep your car sparkly clean!
1. Clean up after yourself
It’s so easy just to let things pile up in your car. Before you know it, there’s a lot of junk in the trunk. Take some time to clear out your car. Grab a trash bag and throw away any old coffee cups, napkins, & plastic wrappers. These items can leave a smell in your car if they’re left unattended.
2. Keep a 'clean car kit' in your trunk
Things you should have:
Car cleaning wipes
Glass cleaner wipes
3. Clean visible areas
Microfiber cloths are great for this, think of it as 'dusting your house' and wipe down any visible areas. You would be surprised how much dust your car collects! Use the glass cleaner wipes to wipe down the inside of windows and mirrors. TIP: try to avoid paper towels as they may leave scratches.
4. Keep it fresh
Next time you’re at the store, buy some extra air fresheners and store them in your glove department. Anytime your car needs a fresh smell, just grab one! It will keep your car smelling nice and clean at all times.
5. Change your air filter
Did you know that the air inside your car can be up to six times dirtier than the air outside? Yikes! Changing the cabin air filter in your car takes very little time and makes your car smell fresher.
